I really love the dev's efforts to stick closer to what Minecraft is in vanilla than what Pixelmon has done for years. Within that scope, auto generated trainers/pokemon centers feel a little off to me. What i'd want is villagers to have at two new professions, likely using the healing station and PC as their workstations, as the stand in for the nurse and pokemart cashier

Cobblemon is on a fast track to supplant Pixelmon as the main Pokemon in Minecraft Mod. It has all of that mods success and failures to build off of, a much easier capability to improve and style their own animations with their custom made models, and generally will run way better due to using blocky models as opposed to the extremely high polygon Pokemon models from the 3D games.

The battle idles aren't *new* but they were pretty rare in 1.3
We've been trying to make sure every pokemon getting animations get a battle idle and shoulder animations if applicable
Also in terms of shoulder mount buffs, we've actually removed the buffs until we can rebalance it in a better way, good video tho :)

The animarions, designs, and lighting of this mod makes it feel so alive and pretty

I fell in love with Cobblemons. I grew up watching Pixelmon, the first version of them too when the Pokemons where blocky. Not only Cobblemon is a brand new twist on the Minecraft Pokemon but it also gives me a little hit of nostalgia as it reminds me of the first Pixelmon version.

Pixelmon has so much content in it that it is playable for so long but it lacks of minecrafting in it. You feel like you only focus on Pokemons and Minecraft is just a tool for it. But this mod fuse both experience together and crates the adventure feeling so much more. I would love to play when it has all the pokemon in it and I'm sure that its gonna be awasome

I love how they gave battle animations so playful and breathing so much life into the johto starters

I I hope the ability to ride pokemon will be added soon, it would be awesome and very convenient for traveling long distances

The farming element has me interested. The problem that I kept running into with Pixelmon is that it's not fun on a random seed, only on pre-made adventure maps or custom-made worlds, because it mirrors Pokemon too closely which is a set world every single time instead of randomly generated. If Cobblemon leans into the resource gathering and crafting aspects of Minecraft instead of using it as an engine to run Pokemon it will indeed be better

I'd love LOVE to see Pokemon amie/refresh-like features (petting, feeding snacks, etc) I've always wanted some sort of Nintendogs-like Pokémon game since I first played Soul Silver and Platinum in my childhood and Nintendo just won't make that for some reason, but having Cobblemon roam around in my base and being able to pet them would probably be the closest thing!

I want them to add breeding, and also size varations in pokemon, that also are inherited and can be bred for.

I really want to see, Pokémon centers or shops in Villaged for more life there. maybe you can battle villagers there.

I love the Pasture Block, but really hope they put some limitations to it, because I can already see people abusing it and placing like 60 pasture blocks in your base each filled with like 16 pidgeys or rattatas and lagging out your base with 1000+ pidgeys/rattatas

Cobblemon is now the best Pokémon Minecraft Mod so far Pixilmon can’t beat this

This update is really really cool. I love the survival aspects they're introducing that actually mix with minecraft mechanics rather than just being Pokemon slapped onto Minecraft. That said, I'm excited to see how villages/cities/towns and gym leaders will be implemented. Hopefully we can see plenty variety in gyms and maybe even some parkour challenges.

I really wish this mod lives through Nintendo's arrogance. It has so much passion and care, you know the devs are fans without them telling you. I think an update for battles and attack animations would be really nice for a next update, since this one already focuses on multiplayer a PvP with move effects would be fire

I'm pretty sure Greninja already has a battle animation, but it was one of if not the only ones to have it prior

you got to love the dedication to this mod hope they do add battle animations to the rest of the pokemon might take some time but am sure they can do it

Nice to see that the mod's improving rather quickly. I'm waiting for the update where they will make it possible to use your Pokemon to fight other non-pokemon mobs(that's a feature I remember being mentioned somewhere). I'm not sure how it will turn out like, but I'm looking forward to the experience of adding some horrible modded mobs and fighting them using cutesy pocket friends.

Im absolutely in love with the art style. I really hope that for a while, updates focus heavy on new mons and animation work. Maybe even some other features from pokemon spinoffs could be cool too!

Very cool update! My favorite feature is easily the ranch box, i was already hoping for something like this. It's really fun to just be able to have your pokemon roam around your base!

Really love the new plants and more incorporated ways to get all the medicinal items, when i play pixelmon my inventory tends to fill a lot with berries, i can't bear to leave them behind XD

I think the addition of the pasture block is sooo cute!! I would love coming back from a long adventure to see all the little creatures I've caught!!

I wanna see pokemon villagers that use either the pc or healing station as a work block and you can battle or trade items with them

i'm really happy to see how fast they're progressing with this mod delevopment. I've been holding off playing it so i can get the full experience when gyms and stuff like that gets added, and then play with some friends for a time

The main thing i've been hyped for was the pasture block, i've been playing pixelmon since I was a kid and I loved when they added the ranch block and it had your pokemon out in the world (though to my memory it was static?? They dint move though I could be wrong) but then they removed that and the closest we have is a block to display a single static pokemon. Having your pokemon able to live in the world with you is just such an amazing extra detail i've longed for since I was a kid. So happy it's been added

I love the animations for all of the pokemon, they make the pokemon feel so much more alive, its awesome. I'm really excited to see this mod update over time, its just so well made and everything fits so well with the rest of the world

I like battle animations but that out of combat utility is what I'm really after, give me a volbeat that produces light but attracts mobs, give a grassy terrain that heals players, dig gets you out of caves, that stuff

As cool as new features are (and they're really cool), I hope most of the focus continues to be put towards making every pokemon feel alive. Awesome job, I'm really looking forward to this mods completion

Absolutely love this mod and the direction it’s going! Also slow but smooth development! Everything’s great and I know this will be one of the best mods one day if it isn’t already. Love the crossbreeding with the berries too! I think that’ll be fun to play around with and see which ones make what!

The animations are thus far the most impressive part of the mod on top of already amazing work. I can only imagine how cool fighting and move animations will look.

The farming aspect has me thoroughly excited. I'd love to have a cobblemon/create pack with me and my friends where we just automate important healing items like potions and status recovery ones.

I think a great new update would be making some of the Pokémon rideable then we can interact with the Pokémon even more

I came across this video and I had no idea such a unique mod even existed! I absolutely love it!! I hope that in future updates, the developers add in some kind of boss battles at unique locations like in temples, deep dark biomes, the end dimension, etc, just so the game feels a bit more like a traditional Pokemon game without the need to add in gym leaders at villages, which I think Pixelmod did a bad job at. Also rideable mounts for specific areas would be innovative too! Like using a Mamoswine to traverse through tundra biomes faster, riding on a Lapras to cross an ocean, and flying through the skies on a Rayquaza would be awesome. I can't wait to see what else they'll add!

It would be nice if there were size variations amongst the same pokemon. Like what if I have two pikachus, but one is fatter than the average and the other one is smaller? Other than that, amazing job and props to the devs! I love what I'm seeing!

This is super sick. But I'm not gonna get hooked to it without some structures around the world that are made for this mod. The different healing materials are very cool and make exploring more interesting but id love to see different monuments or areas with items, specific Pokemon, or just something cool to see.

the crossbreeding mechanic for the berries are amazing!!! in addition i love being able to craft and create potions it feels so inutivite from minecraft and makes so much sense. I'm on the edge of getting some friends to play cobblemon together

this has just skyrocketed to be the best pokemon minecraft modpack for me, I love all of these ideas and how they all make so much more sense to me than pixelmon, it feels more smooth, natural and more thought out with how you get these items. Not to mention the ability to let your pokemon just roam around in your base, omg thats gonna be so much fun, my favourite feature so far in any of the pokemon mods at the moment. ;D

the thing I'm most excited for are breading methods! I've been a shiny hunter since gen 4 and I'd love to do some kind of breeding and finding a shiny charm somehow

I love cobblemon and something I’d love to see more of is cobblemon interacting with the world and players more. Things like the Pokémon HMs like surf, fly, dig, rock smash would all be really cool to see implemented and would help give me more incentive to catch and train more cobblemon. I would love if the cobblemon would help with the general gameplay loop of minecraft. I’m really hopeful for the future of the mod because it’s off to a great start

The mod is great!!! I would love to see npcs, Trainers, Gym leaders and of course Battle animations

I really like the addition of the ranch block and trading, something I would like added would be like boss pokémon or Titan pokémon maybe found in caves or top of mountains and also a way to increase shiny odds cuz too rare :(

its amazing how pixelmon has so many years ahead and cobblemon is already catching up while pixelmon is still better at the moment due to more content and the pixelmon lustrous topaz map that basically adds a whole pokemon game into the mod i can totally see cobblemon surpasing it in the next few years

2 majors things i want them to make for this mod 1-pokemon battle moves like if a pokemon does flamethrower they could animte the pokemon doing that 2- gyms so people can fight trainers without trying to get their friend to install the mod

I really like the battle animations!

I hope they will allow us to mount certain Pokémon an example would be to mount a Garydose so I can travel over the ocean, or a Rabidash so I can race my friends.

i like that the cries fit the pixel style pokemon but i also wish there was an option for voicelines like in pixelmon

Honestly I am probably one of the few that would want this but I think it would be really cool to add gyms but as they were designed in the games, or at least the closest you can get, nothing to over the top custom stuff but like Misty and Brock with the gym leader NPC them self I think that would be cool, Pixelmons over haul of custom gyms with random npc bosses is neat but I prefer seeing the OG if Im gonna go badge hunting maybe even a elite four or champion you can find that would be neat. however loving the custom animations they look great so far cant wait to see how the devs update and continue this development.

A really good thing they should add is structures such as custom vilages, tumbs, ect with chests that you can loot to get items.

I'm not sure where there are on battle animation but I think adding generic animations for attacks like the ones in the game would help go a long way, like a pokemon using earthquake where the model hops a bit and then a texture showing a crack in the ground appearing for a couple seconds would help a lot with visualization, also if when a player uses an item on a pokemon the minecraft player model could toss the item like in vanilla for an animation

I would also love to see more commands that let you change up the way you play like a nuzlock or a random pokemon for a starter. Also add a way to somehow add your own skins(host only) to the pokemon but idk how you would make that easily accessible for others.

It would be cool if they have a throwing animation of pokeballs same as the one in pixelmon but i think i also understand the lasers part because it's how pokemons were released in the anime in the first place. But it would also be cool if you can catch them and then you'd get the pokeball you threw to the pokemon containing the pokemon inside and store it in your inventory and select the pokeball, summon it by pressing "R" and leaving you with an empty-but-occupied pokeball with a name on it and still keep the laser animation so it would be kind of realistic in a way
Just an idea, but i think it would be so cool if they can also focus on the pokeballs summoning animation

I've only played cobblemon once, wasn't all that impressed at first, but as I can see now its definitely come some way. I think my favorite part would have to be the animations, as a modeler I always find it intruiguing how people stitch animations together

It looks great but as someone that so far only used Pixelmon and has been actively working on a multiplayer map for years, I would love a comparison of the features in the game. For example, in Pixelmon you can make all kinds of settings like whether Pokestops are supposed to spawn or not, whether legendaries may spawn and in which frequency, how far up or down the next elevator block may be for them to connect with each other etc.

My favorite feature is gotta be the johto bois coming to the thunderdome. The close second would be the cries, since i kinda feel lifeless when they are just roaming around the map, blank staring at each other

I love the combat, the animations are amazing... This mod's awesome. I love it.

Imagine if they add gyms, pokecenters, pokemarts in each village and then tournaments, contests and many more

I've been away from Cobblemon for a while, but MAN am I hyped for this update. Adding in Gardevoir (my favorite Pokemon), Tinkaton, Ceruledge, Meowscarada, and a whole lot more is already hype, BUT BERRIES TOO?! Not only that, but you can crossbreed berries to get different ones? Amazing, it's like flower breeding in Animal Crossing, which I loved doing when I played that.

i'd like to see more battle animations, and animated moves!! they'd look so cool

I was kinda mixed on this mod with how used to Pixelmon I was since I’ve played it for years. So block based models seemed so odd to me. But I’ve kinda grown to like it. In prolly gonna wait for more updates till I play this mod, but I like what I see and the direction it’s going.
