How to see the answers on d2l? ›

In the list of quizzes, locate the quiz for which you wish to see results. Click the down arrow ( ) to the right of that quiz's name. From the menu that opens, select "Submissions". On the attempt list page, click on the attempt for which you wish to view results.

You can view students' progress, track how many topics they viewed, and how much of their time is spent examining the course content by going to the Reports page.

The LockDown Browser is a custom browser that deters cheating by locking down the Quizzes tool in Brightspace. It prevents learners from visiting other websites, accessing other applications, capturing screen content, and printing content displayed by the browser.

Through the Quiz Log function, the system will detect when the person taking the online test opens a new tab or browser, recording and reporting any suspicious action. Canvas can also avert cheating by locking the browser during the exam. Canvas tracks the time spent by the student on each question.

D2L is able to auto-grade most quiz questions for you, with the exception of those with Written Response questions. You also have the option to enable LockDown Browser or Respondus Monitor proctoring with D2L quizzes, to protect the academic integrity of exams.

D2L includes extensive data on student activity in your course. While this can seem a bit overwhelming or invasive at times, there are certain statistics that can be extremely helpful when determining the best way to help students stay on track and reach their goals.

The report will highlight matching text and provide a link to the original source. Instructors can also view a score for AI detection. Always look at the full originality report to verify plagiarism or use of AI.

No "Switched Tab" event will be logged if the student opens another tab and searches for the answer, and then returns to the quiz and answers some questions. So instructors should not be checking for the "Switched Tab" event to see if students are searching for answers on other tabs - it will not be logged.

You cannot prevent students from editing Discussion posts on a course-by-course basis, but instructors can see an edit history for discussion posts. In the Threaded View: Click on the title of the student's post to open the discussion post. Click to release the More Actions dropdown menu for the post.

What can Brightspace track during a quiz? ›

Clicking on “Quizzes Event Log” will give you even more detailed information: exactly when they saved each answer, and when (or if) they clicked Submit. You can also view the IP address (the unique identifier for each internet connection) that the student used when taking the quiz.

First the student will want to click on the “Quizzes” link from the navigation bar. They will be taken to the Quiz List area, which will display all quizzes for the course. To see the grade/feedback for a quiz, they will need click on the “Feedback: On Attempt” link under the Evaluation Status Column.

​​By default, D2L does not automatically display final grades to students; they only see their scores on individual assignments, not their cumulative grade for the course. At the end of the term, instructors can opt to release the final grade so that students can view it.
